The devices of the DDCN series are SPDs of type 2+3 and designed for use in applications with nominal voltages of 24 or 48 Vdc, such as sensitive sensors, control systems in industry, etc.. The DDCN can be used as 1-port or 2-port SPD. The generously dimensioned connection cage with its capacity for cable cross-sections of up to 10 mm² ensures practical installation. The 2-pole DC surge arresters are designed for DIN rail mounting and occupy only 1 HP. The certification as type 2 + 3 was based on tests with similar parameters, which are also used for AC SPDs, but also according to the draft of P DIN IEC 61643-41 "Surge protective devices for use in low-voltage DC installations - Requirements and tests".
