The DDC50S-21Y range is type 2 pluggable surge protectors designed for protection to Energy System Storage (ESS). Its technology based on high energy varistor equipped with thermal disconnection mechanism offers protection efficiency and a maximal reliability. These DC power surge protectors are available with a Max. DC operating voltage from 500 to 1500 Vdc. To ensure maximum protection of installation, CITEL has developed a fuse dedicated to ESS (compatible with short circuit currents up to 100,000 A). This fuse (ref: SFD50S-10-1500DC), specifically created for a combination with a surge protection, is installed upstream of the DDC50-21Y protectors.
